I think that America needs to regain its role as a technological and educational power, or we will be left behind in these fields. If we are left behind, then we will lose our importance in the world. Without that importance, we will become just another regular country, and that could be horrible for us.

STEM 6
I would like to discover an efficient energy source that never overheats, shorts out, and creates minimal if any pollution. This would be the ultimate energy source and it would revolutionize the world. This would lead to further inventions that better humanity and the environment.

STEM 5
I was considering being a video game programmer or designer, and Globaloria has not helped or hindered that dream , but it also did not lead me to want a STEM related career either. This was one of the hardest things I have ever done, and I would do it again. It would be different though.

STEM 4
I don't know if I have done anything relating to STEM and Globaloria before this class. I believe this is my first class that has done anything with Globaloria to my knowledge.

STEM Games pt. III
I am interested in working with computers so I might be interested in a career in computer programming, and I am interested in video game programming and design. I really want to be able to do this.
I would love to have been part of this.
I want to create something like that. That was one of my life goals. These all relate to my games through the need of computers for programming, one being a game, and all requiring mathematics and a high level of computer technological ability.

Technology Impacts
So many inventions and discoveries have changed our lives that I could not name them all or even most. The invention of cars and other motor vehicles have increased our abilities to move from one location to another, but they has also increased the amount of pollution we put into the air. This connects farming machinery and motor vehicles to our game topic of pollution. The industrial revolution saw the invention of factories. These factories also give of polluting wastes, and this relates to our game in the same way as farm and motor vehicles. Finally, the invention of computers allows us to find information more quickly than normal. This is what allows us to create our games and communicate quickly.

STEM subjects
Our game is on pollution, and I think that this is harder to understand because we have been more focused on getting our game working. Thus leaving us with less time for this subject. I have not got enough time to add to this though because I am looking for weapons coding or tutorials, and my partners don't have any time either. I hope we find time later though.

Platforms
We had trouble from this one also. The platforms were hardest until we realized the collision detection was necessary. This was when we found a tutorial that combined them both and we finally understood our mistakes. This was a great tutorial even though I still don't know how to make links.

Collision Detection
We just finished the collision detection topic. This was easy once we found the right tutorial. This was a good tutorial. We kept having our character fall through the floor. Now he can stand. Sorry, I still can't figure out how to post a link.

Scrolling Background
The scrolling background was harder than we thought. We could not get our character to stay on the screen. We finally got it done though, and the screen finally scolls. We also coded the enemy and we need to code collision detection and platforms. We are making good time though. Everything we have is on the wiki though.

Coding Enemies
I didn't get to do much but read for this one. My friend Scott did most of the work. This was a necessary one for us though. I feel the game is getting better as we go. We now have enemies, character controls, preloader, and jumping coded into the game. This one was extremely important because, without this topic, the enemies that we have wouldn't work. This would result in a boring game.

Running, Jumping, Etc.
We have finished this section. This was an easy section, but we used a different site listed below. Sorry, I couldn't figure out the way to make it a link.
www.flashgametuts.com This site has many tutorials that could be useful to anyone needing help with flash.

Preloader
We finished our preloader today. The assignment seemed to be less difficult than it looked. Our preloader is on our wiki. I found out how important having exactly the right action script is. Ours did not work until I looked over it closely.

Learning from others
This was a very educational tutorial, and I found a new way to find action script in a flash file. I learned shortcuts that I didn't even know. Below is a link to a site that I think may be useful.

Actionscript
This was a good topic for the class. Everyone needed this topic to help understand actionscript. This was an easy assignment because it was fun and educational. Finding the link posted below was hard though. I hope others can benefit from this video.

Intro to Action Script
We tried to do the action scripting. The tutorial was not that hard but the final link took us to the wrong site. We also had some trouble trying to get the diver game to work right. The video also had not matched up the actions. The frog game worked and we were able to learn some of the abilities of coding.

Game Development Plan
We just finished our gmae development plan. Our game has a lot of scenes and it took my partner a while to count them. This topic didn't take as long as I expected. I learned that we will need a lot more of the topics than we initially thought. Our game may also take longer than anticipated.

Presentation
Our presentation was weak in the presenting. We were interrupted by the bell in the middle of the video, and it took two tries. The bell is in the video below. The presentation was a very uncomfortable thing because everyone did not want to do it. So hears the video.

My Dream Job
My dream job is to program and design video games with Bungie. I want to be a great name in the game community, and keep the franchise of Halo alive by buying the rights to Bungie's game back from Microsoft. This class will help with that by giving me a head start in the ways of video game design and programming. Education will require mathematics to the calculus level, animation, storyboarding, computer simulation, and computer language.

Assembling the game
I didn't have much to do for this topic other than send the files to my partner's computer. Our topic of pollution has gone very far with our game. We have nmew enemies and new locations for the game also. If I had money, power, and influence, then I would try to reduce pollution by finding ways to provide electricity with less pollution and more output.
